My Top 2 Cheap Cleaning Hacks

I don’t know about you, but it’s really hard for me to keep up with my Swiffer floor supplies when they cost between $5-$10 for the Wet Jet cleaner or pads. Not to mention I have two dogs and 3 cats living out in our country home setting with a barn previously used for horses, and surrounded by fields they just saturated with dog manure [yes, you read that right]. So if you can relate and you want to clean your floors at least once a day like I do, you’re going to be purchasing these things weekly. So let’s do the math:

Wet Jet Pads $6.88

There are 17 pads in this package and I use two for each time I clean my floors, so close to 9 days when cleaning daily.

Wet Jet Solution (1) $5.22

Im not sure how long this lasts, but I KNOW my hack lasts much longer.

Hack #1: Liquid Muscle

Okay, let me just tell you the price of this baby.

$2.47!!!!

Its a solution you dilute with water. I put it in a spray bottle and I’ve been doing this about 3 months and still have a ton left! I fill the bottle up with warm water, put in my desired amount of liquid muscle, shake and spray!

Yes, it sounds like a pain to spray with your own hand, but stop being lazy and save some money! I spray, set the bottle down, mop, and keep going! You can do this and still buy pads like I sometimes do, or when I am really feeling frugal, I’ll do the next hack.

Hack #2: Create your own Reusable Pad

If you don’t want to go out and purchase a wet jet or a different product with reusable pads, just do what I also like to do. Pick a cloth/rag and use that!! It goes right into a regular Swiffer! Then spray and wipe, like I said above!

Extra Money Saving Tip:

I just want to throw in my two cents as well about my favorite cleaning solution for my counter tops.

Lysol Antibacterial Kitchen Cleaner

I love Lysol. For the price of only $2.97, you get a big bottle that lasts quite awhile AND you are fighting the bacteria at the same time! I’m HUGE on bacteria as a mama. I’m always using my cutting boards and those can obviously hold a ton of bacteria. As soon as I put my raw meat in the pan, I break out my spray and clean it while disinfecting.

You’ll definitely need it after the storm I like to call My Husband blows through. Don’t get me wrong, I love when he’s willing to cook, but I still have to be the one to clean it all up 99% of the time! Gotta love them!

Well, there you go! It doesn’t seem like much…But it actually saves a lot of money in the long run just to clean your floors. Be fun.. be frugal! Leave comments! Ciao! ❤️
